管理(lǐ)暨內(nèi)務、郵政與電(diàn)信通(tōng)訊部(MPHPT)在日(rì)本電(diàn)信通(tōng)訊商業(yè)法中規定，日(rì)本電(diàn)信設備實施強制認證。電(diàn)信通(tōng)訊商業(yè)法定立于1984年(nián)，在第68條中規定，MPHPT授權合格代理(lǐ)機(jī)構實施技(jì)術條件(jiàn)的(de)合格認可。JATE認證為(wèi)日(rì)本電(diàn)信法的(de)俗稱，針對(duì)手機(jī)類産品一般來(lái)說(shuō)需要符合日(rì)本的(de)電(diàn)信法（俗稱JATE認證）和(hé)電(diàn)波法（俗稱TELEC認證）測試要求，方可合法上(shàng)市(shì)。
